My Fractional CMOs services are ideal for the following 3 types of clients:
  1. Deep tech startups that EITHER have a dedicated marketing team in place (at least 5 people, either full-time team members or contractors) – OR – have a budget in place to hire for executional support. This service is ideal for companies that aren’t quite ready to hire a CMO on a full-time basis, but that know they still need executive-level expertise to guide your marketing / growth strategy and team.
  2. You’re in need of temporary marketing leadership while you work to hire a full-time CMO or VP of Marketing for your company.
  3. You need to build a full-time in-house marketing team and you’d prefer to save time by having an experienced marketing executive define the roles for which to hire, and to hire high-performing personnel to fill those roles.
To effectively utilize my Fractional CMO services, your business should ideally have a marketing budget that exceeds $1 million annually, not including team costs. For smaller-scale businesses with a more modest budget, our Strategy Intensives or Advisory Packages may be a more suitable option.
My fee structure is tailored to each client’s unique requirements. For a full overview of my services and fee details, I encourage you to reach out directly. As for invoicing, it is conducted on a monthly basis, with payments made in advance of the services provided.
In the absence of a marketing team, I offer comprehensive assistance in supporting you to build out your marketing team. This includes writing precise job descriptions, hiring for in-house roles, and identifying suitable agency or freelance partners for immediate needs. I have extensive hiring experience that spans across both marketing and technical roles, and can accommodate your hiring needs for both full-time and contractor engagements.
My expertise is predominantly with deep tech brands and businesses that operate on a subscription model. I also have deep expertise with supporting the growth and marketing of tech consulting firms. I have deep expertise in sectors including data, data science, martech, and AI. While these are my core areas, I occasionally work with businesses outside these industries if there’s a strong alignment.
With respect to the services I offer, ‘Fractional’ implies a customized level of CMO support that’s suited to your company’s size, objectives, and financial capacity. This approach ensures that a portion of your resources remains dedicated to tactical support and executional needs.
I engage with your business on a part-time basis. I am available to my clients via email, Slack, Voxer or Loom. If your business is located in North America and you would like to retain me for in-person collaboration, please note that you’ll be responsible for flights & accommodations that would be required to facilitate that support. Otherwise, our interactions will primarily be remote, utilizing tools like Slack, video conferencing, Loom, Voxer, and email.
